Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: September 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how FICRU, operated by Kyle Meyers (“FICRU,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information when you use FICRU.com, app.ficru.com, or related FICRU services. FICRU is currently offered for users and businesses in the United States.

FICRU is accounting software, not a CPA firm, bank, tax adviser, law firm, or investment adviser. This Policy describes data practices; it does not replace advice from a qualified professional.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide when you create or use an account, including your name, email address, password credentials, business name, profile details, preferences, and support communications.

We process financial and accounting information you choose to enter, import, upload, or create in FICRU. This may include chart-of-accounts data, ledger transactions, invoices, bills, accounts receivable and payable, customers, vendors, attachments, payroll records, loans, investments, and other business financial records.

We may also receive technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as browser and device information, IP address, session identifiers, security events, request and error logs, and the content of messages you send to us.

2. Cookies and similar technologies

FICRU uses cookies and browser storage that are necessary for sign-in, session security, preferences, and operation of the public demo. We do not identify any advertising or third-party analytics SDK in the current FICRU application code. [NEEDS CONFIRMATION: whether any separate marketing-site analytics, advertising, or cookie tools are used outside the application.]

3. Financial data imports and payments

FICRU does not currently connect bank accounts through Stripe. You can import financial records using bank statements and CSV or Excel exports. Send files for bookkeeping cleanup only to the email address provided with your purchase; never send bank login credentials.

Stripe processes FICRU checkout and payment transactions. Where enabled, Stripe Connect also supports specific payroll or payout features. FICRU does not store full payment-card numbers.

4. How we use information

Where a privacy law requires a legal basis, FICRU processes information to perform our agreement with you, with your consent where required, for legitimate interests such as security and service improvement, and to meet legal obligations, as applicable.

5. How information is shared

We share information only as reasonably necessary to operate the service, including with:

We do not sell personal information for money. FICRU’s current application code does not include advertising functionality that uses your accounting records to target you.

6. Data security

FICRU uses HTTPS, authenticated sessions, access controls, and server-side data storage designed to protect information. These measures reduce risk but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password and contact us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

We do not represent that FICRU holds a particular security certification or that every data element is encrypted at rest unless and until that is independently verified.

7. Retention, account closure, and deletion

We retain information for the time reasonably necessary to provide FICRU, preserve requested accounting functionality, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, meet legal obligations, and maintain service security. You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of account information by contacting us below. Removing a connected financial account or imported transactions follows the workspace controls or can be requested through support.

[NEEDS CONFIRMATION: the exact backup-retention period and the timeline for permanent deletion from backups.]

8. Your U.S. privacy choices

Depending on your state of residence and applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, or information about our processing. We may verify your request before responding and may retain information where law allows or requires. California residents may submit these requests using the contact information below. FICRU does not knowingly sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

9. International use and children’s privacy

FICRU is currently intended for U.S. users and businesses. If you use it from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States. FICRU is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Third-party services and changes

Third-party sites and services, including Stripe, have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices. We may revise this Policy as our services, practices, or legal requirements change. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page.
